5/12       THE BARBARISM ON THIS EARTH

Alain Finkielkraut: "The barbarism is not the prehistory of the humanity but the faithful shade that accompanies each one of its steps."

Here is the definition of the word Barbarism drawn of a dictionary :  

"Lack of civilization. Cruelty, ferocity, inhumanity. "

You can meditate the thought of gentleman Robert Erwin Howard, Texan writer of the beginning of the century and author of Conan the Barbarian, who declares this :

"The barbarism is a natural state at the man. "

"The civilization is only an accident, a brief parenthesis. "

"The barbarism will end up triumphing. "

Can one laugh of these troubling affirmations ?

Certainly not because they pose the problem of the barbarism, which is the consequence of the sadism , as it is described by the psychoanalysts.

Is this gentleman right ?

Do his comments express THE SUPREME TRUTH ?

The Catholicism teaches that God is the Creator of the sky and the earth, of all life on earth.

This God the Creator is quite powerful, kind, merciful, forgiving all mistakes, incapable to make the evil, superior to everything that exists, at the origin of everything, farsighted, knowing everything, and in order to summarize, having infinite powers, many qualities and no failing.

The Catholic prelates have certainly been influenced by this biblical verse :

Genesis 1-31: « God saw all that he had made – and it was very good ! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.»

The Catholicism also teaches that the man is created to the picture of God the Creator.

Well, but then on this earth, is everybody beautiful, gentle, liking the other human beings ?

What can one observe while contemplating the world ? In bulk :

=> That practically each living species descended of the Will of God the Creator   must kill cruelly and eat other species in order to survive,   that some species are privileged and some others are not.

   ( Plants are also living species.)

Jean de la Fontaine taught some truths by making the animals speak. Let's inspire ourselves of his method :

When a tiger catches a gazelle it thinks that it is well and that God the Creator is good and generous.  ( I am going to eat good meat, yum-yum.)

The gazelle which has just been caught says to itself that God the Creator is vicious, nasty, bad, and that the tiger is a barbarian, ( I suffer horribly because of this cruel aggression that will make me die me in the flower of my youth.)

Some people are going to retort immediately that it is only an automatic system of regulation of the species, wanted and put in place by God the Creator.

This is correct, but its principle of working is based on the barbarism.

G.B.Shaw: "When a man wants to kill a tiger, he calls this sport. When a tiger wants to kill him, he calls this ferocity. "

=> Wars since the world exists, these wars becoming more and more murderesses. These wars are an automatic regulation system acting on the humans, wanted by the Creator, in order to solve some dysfunctions as for example an incomprehension between two enormous gangs of individuals.

The way it operates is also based on barbarism.

Some researchers even demonstrate that the wars are necessary for the development of  the humanity because they permit a fast advancement of the technical progress by all inventions that they generate, factor of improvement of the well-being of the humans.

According to them this would not take place during time of peace.

However wars = barbarism, that is to say destructions, sufferings, death of innocents.

J.H.Fabre: "The war, the art to kill in large and to make it with glory, but done in small, will lead to the scaffold. "

=> A lot of innocent victims, consequence of ominous decisions taken by politicians or religious chiefs.

=> Genocides of Armenians, Jews, Bosnian, Tutsis, Houtous, etc...

=> The horrors of the Saint Barthélémy, of the crusade against the Albigeois, those of theCatholic peoples, or other religions, putting other peoples in slavery, the atrocities and infamies perpetrated by the Inquisition of the cruel Torquemada, etc...

Hosea 6-6: « For I delight in faithfulness, not simply in sacrifice ; I delight in acknowledging God, not simply in whole burnt offerings.»

=> Bullfights being officially authorized.

Here is an excerpt of an answer made by a Prefect of the South of France to an objector to the bullfights :

"The articles 453 and R 38.12 of the penal code foreseeing some sanctions with regard to people who commit physical abuses, acts of cruelty or bad treatment towards the animals, do not apply to the bullfights (sic) when an uninterrupted local tradition can be invoked.

According to a constant jurisprudence, the profit of the local tradition... blabla"

The diplomacy is the art to cheat or to lie, in order to achieve one's ends, or to grt rid of a cumbersome problem.

Is it not a magnificent example of diplomacy ?

The objector answered to him that in the domain of the cynicism the French Legislator had hit very strong, that if the cruelty towards the animals is an offense liable of punishment according to the French Law, it is not possible to him to understand that a region of France can demonstrate to the Legislator that his inhabitants practice the cruelty towards the animals assiduously, that their ancestors have systematically practiced this cruelty, and therefore that the Republican Law must be adapted to this "local tradition

uninterrupted" and must not apply to them.

The lucidity allows to understand that the fanatics of bullfights are also voters, and that in a country where the significant elections are played to 50/50 between the political right wing and the left wing, the politicians whose goal is only to obtain the power at any price, have interest rather to entertain these adepts of the barbarism in the sense of the hairs of the banderila.

In their head the end justifies the means, on the other hand the Morals, the Justice and the Spirituality of the soul are not their problem.

=> The cockfights again authorized in France, the dogfights, in a goal of distraction.

I was going to forget : what is new under the sun ?

=> Private bullfights for non bullfighters ( non toreros ). It is enough to give a sword to a person of passage in the west south of France and, in return for a substantial amount of money, in a private arena, one puts in front of him a young veal that is clumsily and slowly slaughtered, struck with the sword. This insulting materialism, anti-spiritual and cruel has for goal " to secure a return on investments."

=> A Belgian who commits kidnappings of little girls to feed a network of paedophiles, and who made some to die horribly.

=> Raisings of partridge. They are fed by a man, always the same, and get used therefore to him.

However, to the opening of the hunting and of course fairly against money, they are placed not far from the hunter in a field which, because of this new idea of the man created to the picture of God the Creator, is sure to go back not empty-handed.

=> Promoters of shows of a new kind. Dogs doberman or pitbull are trained for the attack.

The promoter of the show recruits humans able to run quickly in return of a modest sum of money.

The human is released on a very defined trail. He chooses himself a handicap of time between his departure and the one of the dogs and his bonus increases with the reduction of the time of the handicap.

The promoter makes pay dear greedy spectators to be able to contemplate this delightful spectacle organized by a Man created to the picture of God the Creator.

=> In Algeria, aged and pacific Catholic monks slaughtered by Moslem fanatics, acting, according to them, for Allah's biggest glory, Allah the very Powerful and very Merciful !

Of unceasing massacres of civilians whose insane goal is to "give some souls to God !"

=> The man that was created to the picture of God the Creator, who takes this affirmation very seriously while opening a Pandora's box and transforms vegetarian cows in carnivorous cows.

This is not agreed by t he gentleman Karma who was passing by and crash ! a new and terrifying illness appears.

Result : thousands of cows killed for nothing, or rather to try to stop one illness due to a practice that purpose was mercantilism.

=> People living in the streets without a roof on their head , because they don't succeed in finding an employment. Foreigners in irregular situation, without official papers, who are in our contry because someone made them believe that they would find here everything that they don't have in their own country such as a job, food, an appartment, medical cares.

If we think carefully on everything that has just been enumerated, we may wonder if mister Howard is right and, by way of consequence, if God the Creator is a sadist, a barbarian ?

This hypothesis must be rejected because on this Earth exists also the Good, a lot of virtuous people, etc... a topic that is absolutely not treated in this essay.

And then, one could think as the Buddha :

"If God permits such a calamity, He cannot be good, and if He cannot prevent it, He cannot be God. "

A mediator between the True God and our Humanity, which would have created our terrestrial living world would exist therefore and would have, by mistake or deliberately, generated the barbarism, in a goal known of him alone.

God the Creator of some individuals would not be the True God.

This clumsy God the Creator, would not this be a certain gentleman Satan and his followers ?

Matthew 6 - 13 : «  And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.»

John 8-44 : « You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.»

Revelation 12-7/8 : « Then war broke out in heaven : Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But  the dragon was not strong enough to prevail, so there was no longer any place left in heaven for him and his angels. So that huge dragon – the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world – was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along with him.»

Recall yourselves Faust's legend : it is the history of a man that sells his soul to the devil in return for material advantages.

Mythical character, the devil symbolizes all strengths that disturb, weaken, darken the Conscience and make it regress toward the indeterminate and the ambivalent.

It is the symbol of the nasty, malicious, but it is also the result of the work of Satan.

Legend : "Narration to marvelous character, founded on the historic reality, which is embellished by the imagination or the poetic invention. "

If you want that a truth crosses the centuries in a veiled manner, create a legend.

The barbarism exists altogether around us and this phenomenon has tendency even to intensify.

To see : the violence in the new movies, the violence to the school and in the suburbs, the satanic groups rock, the violence in a lot of states of our planet.

May 68 in France declared the famous " It is forbidden to forbid."

Result : nowadays the violence is more and more increasing and reaches more and more young children.

The respect of the other disappears and the law of the strongest or the more malicious predominates (about 150 districts of non right in France, where the police cannot intervene any more.)

Plato : « When the governing persons abuse their power, when the parents get used to let make the children do what they want , when the children don't take into account their parent's words, when the masters tremble before their pupils and prefer to flatter them, when finally the young despise the laws and the morals because they don't recognize anymore above them the authority of nothing nor no one, then, it is there in all beauty and in all youth the beginning of the tyranny.»

In front of this observation what attitude to adopt for the people with a personal high level of Conscience ?

They have to choose between two concepts : the one of the monk or the one of the educator.

The true monk makes more or less the same observation and decide to ignore the barbarism, to treat it by the contempt, then.

He isolates himself, ignoring the world that surrounds him, what happens in it, trying only to reach the Divine Conscience through the meditation and the observance of the laws of his Order.

The educator is supposed to know, to understand, to explain the essential reason of some unconscious behaviors.

He thinks that his understanding is part of THE SUPREME TRUTH and this satisfies his own level of conscience.

He is convinced that this education must be only a seed that one sows in the mind of unconscious people, and than then it will be necessary to wait often for a certain time so that this seed starts germinating.

This education must not be especially made with intolerance, while trying to force the understanding to all price.

A good education must suggest and must explain, and not to impose.

It is the objective intended in this essay.
