6/12 EDUCATION
The kind of education received by an individual is conditioning the possibilities of his free will, allowing him to take some decisions when the constraints of the karmic ordeals happen.
It is the good quality or the bad quality of the free will (therefore the good quality or the bad quality of the education received) that will allow an individual to surmount, or then to be submitted servilely to the unconscious instinctive impulses.
Free will is the main tool of intelligence.
************
On this earth the intellect, as well as every individual's behavior, is conditioned by the heredity, but also by the kind of education that one received.
This education has numerous sources, for example : the standard of living, the social status, the level of education and of intelligence of the parents, the national customs and the regional customs, the religion that was taught, the personal understanding of this religion by the person who teaches it, the existence or non-existence of mandatory public schools, the good or poor quality of these schools, the ability or difficulty of teaching of the masters and professors, the means available or lack of means, the time allowed to them to be able to transmit their knowledge, the level of respect of the pupils for their professors, etc...
The aged people, in addition, have a complementary education coming from the life experiences.
This education, when a child has the possibility to receive it, is decomposed in two complementary domains :
1) the education relating to the material world in which the human body evolves.
This education permitting to implement the means to eat, to dress oneself, to protect oneself of the natural elements, to travel, to have entertainments, in short, to assure the survival of this body and his protection.
This kind of knowledge, (as well as the means and tools) progressed a lot these hundred last years. The teaching received to the school, high school, college, university, privilege this materialistic scientific environment.
2) the education permitting the improvement of the individual moral conscience.
This one allowing the faculty of discernment, allotted to all human beings, of understanding of what is good and what is evil. This education try to describe the behavior of the living beings and also the harmonious reports that should exist between the humans, the animals and the nature.
This education also learns the respect due to the parents, the family, the teachers, in short, the others.
Unfortunately this kind of education dedicated to the moral is regressing in a lot of countries.
It is in inverse proportion of the progress of the materialism and of the increasing lack of business ethics.
************
If one doesn't take into account the retarded mental persons whose intellect is limited, then while observing the people passing by around us, it is possible to detect, concerning the religion, different attitudes and judgments sometimes opposed.
Their behavior in the everyday life being the result of the two types of education that they have, well or no well, received and assimilated.
It is possible to classify these people in four categories :
( This concerning all religions and all countries. Free to the reader to extrapolate the four following categories in the worlds of the politics, of patriotism, etc... )
1) the materialist :
It is the atheistic person who is only interested in the satisfaction of the body needs.
He/she likes to eat, to go to the renowned restaurants, to go to the nighclubs to pick someone up, to drink alcohol for the purpose of relaxing, to wear beautiful clothes.
The materialist is adopting straightaway all new ideas and odd fashions because he/she believes he/she is someone modern, better than the others . It is a person madly in love with his/her body, practicing sport to remain in good health, that doesn't hesitate on occasion to go in the institutes of beauty.
All this doesn't prevent this person, often, to excel in his/her job.
Religion and spirituality are beyond him, then he ignores them.
As he has neither no knowledge nor no precise idea on the question, when he is confronted to a text or an event whose subject is religion or spirituality, he reacts by criticizing it or ridiculing it because he is unable to express some ideas and some clear opinions on this topic.
Confucius: "To hear or to read without thinking are a vain occupation. To think without book nor master (mentor) is dangerous. "
In this category the profiteers are, trying to get the maximum of material advantages by all means and while working the least possible, or on the contrary the careerists are whose life consist in running after the promotions, or the business managers of which the only one ambition is to enlarge his business, again to enlarge his business, always to enlarge his business, or the amoral politicians, ambitious and without scruples.
Matthew 7 - 6 : « Do not give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls before pigs ; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and turn around and tear you to pieces.»
It is also in this category of unconscious people that one finds the scientists for that it poses no moral problem to do experiences of vivisection on animals, and even on humans (physicians SS in the German concentration camps, for example).
Some people of this category consider the barbarism like a fun, a simple distraction.
Some others practice barbarism to prove to themselves that they exist and have some willpower, and to demonstrate to the other their virility.
Albert Einstein : "It is the free and creative human person who shapes the beautiful and the sublime, then that the masses remain driven in a circle infernal of imbecility, reducing people to a mindless state."
2) the instinctive believer :
He guess that something exists more important than the material world but he doesn't know precisely what it is.
The mysteries of life are something that are beyond of his understanding, but create however in him a need to take this into account.
He knows that, to be able to live, some material means are mandatory, but also that one must take into account and prioritize this superior part which is expressing what he does not underdtand and that he names "God" and "religion."
He trusts blindly the statements of the people of the predominant religion of his country or of his family, is impressed by the knowledge of these religious representatives and by their distinctive uniform, and endeavor to follow the manner to live that has been instilled to him as faithfully as possible, but without trying to understand.
He has what one calls "the faith" in what has been taught to him, that is to say that he believes without understanding.
Faith : "Attitude of total adherence and absolute confidence in God, in a man or in a reason."
"Belief in a divinity, adherence to a religion or any doctrine."
"To give one's consent, to adhere to elevated beliefs to the rank of truth, but without taking into account the experience or the scientific demonstration. Makes to believe in God, in a dogma."
"Fervid belief, but which is not justified, on rational arguments."
To believe : "To hold for truth, sincere, possible or likely."
Nietzsche : "When one has the faith one can do without the Truth."
It is in this category that one finds the religious credulous and the bigots, practicing religiosity.
Some bigots believe that it is sufficient to go once a week to the mass or the cult, to give 1 euro to the quest and 1 euro to the beggar placed to the exit, to deserve to go "automatically to the Paradise."
Credulity : "Too big easiness to believe."
But what is faith, otherwise than a superstitious belief in something that one doesn't understand and which has a tendency to frighten ?
A lot of people of this category are considering barbarism as something normal because, according to them, this emanates from God the Creator's will, a god that they imagine in their head.
( Almost all the toreadors are bigots, who are praying God before slaughtering some bulls cruelly.)
Lao Tseu : "One doesn't give good conscience solely while burning the incense and while venerating the statuaries, in addition the beneficial acts and the good actions are necessary."
3) the believer religious extremist :
This type of behavior is the exaggeration of the instinctive believer, which is driven deeply in his convictions.
Indeed, the conviction extinguishes the working of the conscience and bring imperceptibly to the sufficiency, the pretension and to self-conceit. Barbarism becomes therefore a topic of little importance, all of this by believing that they make the good, that they do the right things, that they are on God's path. This is how is born the fanaticism and the fundamentalism.
Fanatic :
1. Pertaining to, or indicating, fanaticism; extravagant in opinions; ultra; unreasonable; excessively enthusiastic, especially on religious subjects; as, fanatic zeal; fanatic notions.
2. A person affected by excessive enthusiasm, particularly on religious subjects; one who indulges wild and extravagant notions of religion.
Fanaticism :
1. Excessive enthusiasm, unreasoning zeal, or wild and extravagant notions, on any subject, especially religion; religious frenzy.
Fundamentalist : "Disposition of mind of some believers who are taking into account blindly the tradition and are refusing the evolution of the way of life."
The religious extremist feels a powerful and irrational need for aggressiveness, a need to destroy and to kill for a reason that he believes divine, as he looks for a justification of his cruel behavior. This is the result of the warlike religious education that he received from religious themselves religious extremists, or from his incorrect comprehension of a good and reliable religious education, this because his way of thinking is corrupted by the credulity and the superstition existing in his mind.
He is persuaded that his destructions and his murders are going to allow him to go "to the paradise", "to save his soul" while accomplishing God the Creator's will.
This is due to his low level of intelligence and of consciousness.
It is a fanatic harliner who is persuaded to make the good by imposing his beliefs by using the force and by conducting punitive actions.
He behaves this manner because it is how he conceives the religion and for, according to him, to be agreeable to God the Creator that he has imagined in his head.
People of this category consider the barbarism like a simple means allowing them to reach their objective, that is to impose their ideas by using the strength.
Lisa Gagrou : Fanaticism, that it is exercised by a Muslim crowd or by a preacher of the Missouri, will always be generating of darkness. The greed and fanaticism are all two of the illnesses of the soul, they are all two the symptoms of an unbalance. The battle is not any more to be set between the nations, it is henceforth at the heart of every human being."
4) the reasonable believer :
It is the good religious or the faithful, who is endowed with a good level of conscience and who, through the received religious education, has understood the real purpose of his religion.
He accepts its constraints and consequently acts accordingly.
To understand : "To conceive, to seize the sense of something."
He is therefore capable to apply, in his everyday life, the teachings of his religion that ask him not to make evil things, to help those that are in the distress, etc..., attitude superior to the one consisting only to follow the religious rituals : (to go only to the mass or to the cult but outside of this mass or cult to have an attitude selfish in everyday life.)
He examines how his body works, the functioning of the nature, and in front of the whole complexity of the things that he discovers, in front of all the natural laws that make the world working, he believes that there is an Intelligence behind this as well as perpetual laws that are beyond of his level of comprehension.
He believes that the material world is only a support to something deeper, of more spiritual.
He knows that, even nowadays, the credulity and the superstition have a big influence on many of human brains.
He makes efforts to respect and to protect all life, even animal life, even plant life.
He takes people as they are and understands their behavior, he has no spirit of revenge or of animosity towards the coarse and nasty people.
Confucius : "The sage is expecting everything from his own efforts. The vulgar man is expecting everything from the favor of the others. "
"The wise man aspires to the perfection and the vulgar man aspires to the well-being. "
"The wise man adhere to the laws, and the vulgar man wants to attract favors."
It is also the politician to the elevated moral sense, this conferring him the capacity to act concretely to the improvement of the fate of the people of whom he is in charge.
Some people of this category have a high level of conscience and do not need any more the help of the religion. They prefer to work directly where the help is needed in order to relieve the human misery rather than to attend the sunday's mass.
It is the case of the NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) as "the french doctors " (Physicians of the World, Physicians without Borders, Pharmacists without Borders,) etc...
It is also the scientist endowed with conscience and who is not satisfied with the theoretical teachings given by the representatives of his religion, because he wants to learn but also and especially to understand the reason of all these cruel things that one notes every day on this earth that contradicts the theories of the religion, and so to be capable to work to attenuate them with his creations and realizations.
C.J.Keyser, mathematical Philosophy : "The absolute certainty is a privilege of people without instruction and of fanatics. For the scientific, it is an impossible ideal to reach."
People of this category fight the barbarism peacefully, by their educational writings and by the example of their behavior in the everyday life.
************
Maybe we could add a supplementary category, the hardliner soldiers ?
The world is not perfect, with all its vices, because the personal instinct of survival called "aggressiveness ", (which is described higher,) is also applying collectively to every nation.
"Si vis pacem, para bellum. If you want peace, prepare war." (Latin expression.)
From where the setting up in every country of an army and everything that moves around (survey, construction and maintenance of weapons, back up, transportation, military engineering, etc...)
Their goal is either to defend their nation or to attack another nation.
A true soldier, by definition, is a person that, indirectly or directly, is working to detect and to annihilate other people that he doesn't even know, that he didn't saw before.
He learned how to use some advanced weapons, used in the goal of killing a maximum of human beings efficiently , human beings that his chiefs and the politicians name enemy.
This kind of soldier follow a special education permitting to obtain from him a blind obedience to the orders of the politicians.
A true soldier doesn't think about the consequences of his acts and is ignoring the virtue. He behaves merely like a robot.
He acts exactly according to the orders received. He do not have then to think if the cause he is following is fair or not, is virtuous or not, if his acts are applicable to the Good or to the Evil.
He acts exactly as one prescribed it to him. He doesn't have therefore to think to determine if his cause is valid or no, virtuous or no, if his action belongs to the Good or then to the Pain. He only obeys to the orders received.
If he thinks, then he would become a bad soldier, unreliable, because he could be paralyzed by scruples.
Between them, the true soldiers obey blindly to the rank superior to theirs.
As for the officers of high rank, their guru or their God is the War Minister, sorry, Defense Minister.
Virtue : "Constant disposition that carries to make
the good and to avoid to make the evil."
The Good : "What is conscious of the divine laws of
the universe and put them into practice in the everyday life. The respect and the
protection of all living beings."
The Evil : "What causes, voluntarily or no, the pain, the
damages, the suffering or the death of other living beings."
Socrates : "The morality is the application of the
virtue and the virtue is the respect of the things and the living beings."
************
So that the education is efficient and constructive it is necessary for the educator and the pupil to show evidence of tolerance.
Tolerance: "Respect of the liberty of others, of their manner to think, to act, of their political and religious opinions."
When a person is confronted to a fact or a text, tolerance allows him to use his capacities of analysis and of reflection whose result will be a certain understanding.
From this fact, the result is an improvement in the understanding of the reasons and the consequences of some behaviors or events. Therefore, for this person, the progression in the knowledge of the laws that governs our world is possible.
Tolerance encourages the constructive debate.
Intolerance is an impossibility to analyze and to think on the reasons and the consequences of some behaviors or stands on a given topic.
This obstruction is the result of tendancies such as the pretension, the sufficiency, the arrogance, which are stopping the analysis and the reflection from functioning normally. The person affected by intolerance is persuaded to detain The Truth and therefore that he doesn't have the need to learn any more.
For these people, the progression in the knowledge is impossible and, consequently, produces the fundamentalism and even the fanaticism.
Intolerance prevents the dialogue.
Francis Bacon: "Read, not to contradict or to refute, nor to believe or to admit, but to weigh up the pros and cons and to think."

The Catholic religion lost its influence. Besides, of by the constraints of the modern life, the parents resign more and more their mission of education of their children.
Consequently the Spirituality (to practice the good and to reject the evil) doesn't progress any more, making way for the barbarism.
Also, in order to help the human souls to improve their level of Conscience, remains only today that the Political Power with its representatives, its Laws, its Justice, its National Education.
This Political Power only takes care of the satisfaction of the material and physical needs of the individuals.
Besides, the today's tendency of the National Education is to produce materialistic people, while uprooting all spiritualism.
However, in order to understand the physical and material world, that is the one of the effects, it is mandatory to understand the spiritual world of the soul, that is the one of the causes.
A good government representative, a good leader, a good representative of the medias or a good religious is the one that spends his energy to try to civilize life in his region by developing and encouraging a serious teaching, which will bring the moral, will bring the intellectual and scientific capacities that will be encouraging the creation of appropriate jobs.
For example the city of Antibes, France, succeeded in implanting a large technology center whereas the south-west of France is trying to increase the bullfight shows.
Pythagore :
"Of all arts, the education is the most spiritual, because it applies on souls on their way of evolution and conditions the future of the humanity. "
