Allow me to ask you to read this essay in whole and not to get rid of it after reading.

Why ?

Because they constantly deal with a topic of actuality : the relations existing between the bodily instincts and the individual conscience, with their physical and moral consequences.

Because in youth, and even sometimes to the adult age, a large number of people only act according to their instincts.

Because while aging, and the experience helping, a lot of individuals ask themselves questions on the successes or the failures of their life, on the validity of the path that they followed.

They begin, one day or another, to wonder about the real goal of the existence on this earth and on the most efficient personal conduct than they would have to follow.

Allow me to suggest you to reread this message and to meditate its content, from time to time, as you are advancing in age.

« To think against its time that is heroism ; but to say it that is madness ! »

Eugene Ionesco

The triggering event of this essay is the observation on this earth of types of behaviors conducting to wars, to the cruelty towards the animals and the humans, to the dirty tricks and the traffics of the politics, to the behaviors of some sects and religions, to the machinations of some businessmen, etc, all this leading to an analysis of these facts and the research of the root causes that bring such behaviors.

This essay only reflects the author's personal understanding on these topics, also his aproach will consist in presenting you some elements of reflection that it will be possible to you to analyze and that, maybe, will allow you, to the future, to think differently on the reasons and the consequences of all these acts that some consider as normal, natural and necessary, and that others reject in the name of the moral.

The example, chosen in this essay to illustrate the barbarism, is the practice (one can even say the religion, in some parts of France and Spain) of the Spanish bullfight with putting the bull to death.

Free to the reader to extrapolate on other cruel practices.

The author hopes, by this essay, to make think more in depth the adepts of the barbarism, of the cruelty as for example the aficionados and the hunters, as well as those that approve this kind of behavior in the name of the "tradition."

He hopes also to provide the precepts reinforcing the position of those who oppose the cruelty and try, in their behavior and their life, to free themselves from this, to pass beyond and to overcome the material constraints and especially the requirements of the instincts.

Some references to the Bible (translation by the monks of Maredsous) are used everything along this text, drawn references of the New Testament. Those of the Old Testament have not been used, exception made of some passages of the Genesis and also when they are quoted by Jesus in his teaching.

According to the author's understanding, the Old Testament can be understood as the history of the Jewish people, told by Jews and addressing to Jews.

Then Jesus came on earth to bring us a message, the New Testament, this one having for goal to make evolve the behavior of all individuals of this planet toward more of civilization and realism, while actualizing and changing some of the beliefs and the rituals present at that time, which were based on the precepts of the Old Testament, this in his geographical sphere of influence.

In order to argue this position you will find, here below, a copy of the page that separates The Old Testament of the New Testament in the Bible Thomson with chains of reference, Editions Vida, 1991.

Some personal notes concerning the Old Testament :

His survey requires a deepened reflection.

The prudence is necessary and the text must not be read exclusively of manner literal, because parts of these writings teach truths, often presented in a veiled manner.

But these truths can be searched for by the reflection and the meditation.

If one observes the reality of life, one can perceive that God is not a distinct person, who domineers over all, who sees all and who knows all.

On the other hand it is reasonable to think that God is in all, in an impersonal and invisible manner to our senses.

To simplify, why not to adopt the formula that GOD = NATURE, or rather GOD = UNIVERSE ?

The humans are possessed of free will which allow them to take some daily decisions when facing some circumstances. However, as a result, if these decisions are contrary to the Divine Laws, there is an automatic return shock, consequence of the violation of the laws of the Nature.

For a lot of inhabitants of this planet, God especially represents a concept including everything that they don't understand and that they fear. It is what brings the understandings very different from His nature that one finds in the countries, the races, the popular beliefs, at different eras.

The scientific minds have an approch different towards the study of the existence of God and of his powers that the one of the superstitious and uneducated people.

For the Christian religions and the Jewish religion, the creation of the life on our earth is described in the Genesis, part of the Bible, Old Testament.

Let's go back therefore to the Genesis :

A reading exclusively literal of the Genesis made us appear God as someone that goes for a walk in a garden named Eden and doesn't know (ignorance) what action forbidden Adam and Eve only just done, this being the consequence of the persuasion of a snake that speaks : to read Genesis 3 - 1 / 24.

This important text carries a teaching, hidden under a puerile shape but wanted thus by the author, this in order to be able to make him cross a big space of time.

This text must be deciphered therefore.

Only the religious credulous and the bigots believe that the original sin is the fact that Eve ate an apple coming from a forbidden tree.

The others will have to search for the real significance of what is "the original sin."

For example, how to interpret the Genesis, when this book gives for the creation of Adam and Eve two descriptions of their birth (in the first description God creates Adam and Eve at the same time. In the second description, God creates Adam firstly, and seeing he was bored stiff, He takes one of his ribs to create Eve.)

The modern scientists determined that the first human beings were, to the departure, hermaphrodites.

Do these two veiled messages want to express this ?

Hermaphroditism :« Meeting of the character of the two sexes inside the same individual.»

Eve and Adam have two sons, Cain kills Abel, but the God of the Genesis protects Cain : why ?

Genesis 4-13/16: « Then Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is too great to endure ! Look ! You are driving me off the land today, and I must hide from your presence. I will be a homeless wanderer on the earth ; whoever finds me will kill me.” But the Lord said to him, “All right then, if anyone kills Cain, Cain will be avenged seven times as much.” Then the Lord put a special mark on Cain so that no one who found him would strike him down. So Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.»

(Where he got married and had a progeny.)

One can deduce that God doesn't condemn the murder, well on the contrary, that Cain was capable to see the Lord God, but also that other inhabitants existed on the earth at this time.

The religious credulous and the bigots, on the other hand, are always persuaded that Adam and Eve are the first humans to populate the earth, created instantaneously by God with a wave of the magic wand, and that all inhabitants of the earth are their descendants.

As for the scientists, here is one of their explanations (reference The Quid, Origins of Life) :

« Adam and Eve, myth or reality? »

« An individual (named conventionally Adam) of the super-family of the Hominoïdes would have undergone a chromosomal mutation. He would have impregnated a female Hominoïde, that would have given birth to a girl having inherited her father's chromosomal mutation.

Conventionally, this girl would have been called Eve.

Impregnated then by her father, she would have given birth to the first of the Hominideses.

All humans would be born of that couple, because the probability of a meeting between a male Hominoïde and a female Hominoïde having undergone, each on his/her side, the same chromosomal accident, is practically hopeless

The God of the Genesis is not infallible and can be mistaken :

Genesis 6 - 5/8 : « But the Lord saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made humankind on the earth, and he was highly offended. So the Lord said : “ I will wipe humankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth – everything from humankind to animals, including creatures that move on the ground and birds of the air, for I regret that I have made them.”

But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.»

( We know today that the beings resulting of a clonage have possibilities lower to their basis model.)

God wants to wipe out His Creation entirely. Then for which reason does He wants to save Noah and all animals of the earth through the ark, so that the earth will be repopulated exactly as before?

The Deluge. Genesis 7 - 21/22 : « And all living things that moved on the earth died, including the birds, domestic animals, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all humankind. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.»

Can one take for real, and to the letter, this text ?

If yes, it would mean that in today's world, all the inhabitants, the blacks, the yellows, the whites, the reds, are descending from Noah and his family !

Otherwise, what is a lot more reasonable, it is the narration of a cataclysm, natural or that has been triggered by the Elohims (to see further), that would have ravaged a part of the globe, cataclysm related by ignorant individuals who assigned the reason why of a romanticized manner, according to the God that they imagined in their head.

God gets tired when he works :

Genesis 2-2 to 3 : « By the seventh day God finished the work that he had been doing, and he ceased on the seventh day all the work that he had been doing. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy (devoted) because on it he ceased all the work that he had been doing in creation.»

To devote : « Todedicate to God or to the Gods. To dedicate to God's service. »

What did God make the following days ?   Why "devote" rest ?

What to think of this God of the Old Testament, racist and slaughterer, who creates the world and his inhabitants, who leaves them for a while, then comes back to see the state of his creation and finds out that there are clans waging wars between themselves henceforth.

Then He decides to choose a camp and to support "the Chosen People", chosen by him (according to what criterias ?) against the other peoples.

Joshua 10 - 41 to 43: « Joshua conquered the area between Kadesh Barnea and Gaza and the whole region of Goshen, all the way to Gibeon. Joshua captured in one campaign all these kings and their lands, for the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel. Then Joshua and all Israel returned to the camp at Gilgal. »

And then, in order for this message to be well understood , it is repeated in :

Exodus 14/24 to 26, Deuteronomy 1/29 to 31, 3/21 to 23, 4/33 to 35, 20/3 to 5, Joshua 10/13 to 15, 23/2 to 4, 23/9 to 11,

Chronicles 14/14 to 16, 20/16 to 18, 32/7 to 9, Esaie 13/3 to 5, 30/31 to 33, 31/3 to 5

And worse, according to the Old Testament, this elected people manage to constantly disobey to God !

Now, if one understands that the religious Hebrews of that time were searching some artifices to cement their people, to give him courage and cohesion when facing their adversaries, then these comments are a lot more comprehensible.

Not to forget that at that time existed the cruel law of the talion (eye for eye, tooth for tooth).

Other hypothesis : the Elohims (to see further) really supported and protected the Hebrew people against cruel adversaries, by using some weapons in relation with their very advanced technology,

Concerning the Jewish people, the concept of "Chosen People", remains for me an enigma, a mystery, so without committing myself, I will only mention a passage of the book of Jean Sendy : "The messianic times" (Editions "J'ai lu",1980), disturbing passage and inciting to the reflection :

«  Is it that theproportion of the Jewish, in the sciences of today, is very abnormally elevated because of the generations of talmudists who have transmitted to them the character genetically acquired of the turn of mind common to the Kabbale and to today's science ? ...

The certain thing is that there is in the world about 12 millions of Jewish (written in 1975), and 40% of the big heads of today are descended of this very restricted genetic pole ; 58% of these big heads are already descended of a genetic pole, more vast, the 800 millions of Christian, shaped by the Judaism simplified of the Gospels, but when the vast genetic pole, the one of the 1 500 millions of descendants of one of the Big Civilizations, reveals an individual whogets (or merit to get) a Nobel of the Sciences, all the third world is jubilant...»

«... It is therefore the Judaism that produces, and from afar, the strongest proportion of individuals breathing at ease in the atmosphere rarefied of the high summits of the research. The weakest proportion, and from afar, is produced by the communities that are not Jewish, nor Christian, even when their controlling classes are fabulously rich, even when they send their children to learn in our universities.

Christianity arrives second, but the third one is so much outdistanced that one can speak only of a Judeo-Christian civilization... It is not a matter of race (the Arabic are as Semitic as the Jewish), it is not a matter of nationality, it is not a matter of beliefs, it is a problem of integration into Moïse's Law... by the Law that specifically says that the problem for the Men is to equal the Elohims.»

«... Go back to the course of history : every time that the "Jewish problem" intervenes in the debate, it is the most antisemitic camp that tis defeated, as if the anti-semitism was the symptom of a fatalprognosis.»
